What does the mouse tester do?
This online mouse tester lights up and counts each button as you press it — left, middle (wheel click), right, and scroll up/down. If a button doesn't register or fires twice on one press, you may have a worn or double-clicking switch.
How to use it
- Move your cursor inside the box.
- Click each button and scroll the wheel up and down.
- Watch the matching cell light up and its counter go up by one.
Diagnosing common problems
- Double-clicking: one physical click adds 2 to the counter — a failing switch.
- Dead button: the cell never lights up.
- Scroll skips: check the dedicated scroll test.
FAQ
Does middle click work here?
Yes — the wheel click is captured and the page won't auto-scroll while testing.
Nothing happens on right-click?
The browser context menu is suppressed inside the box so right-clicks count cleanly.
