Privacy & Cookie Policy

How ClickSpeedr handles data, cookies, and advertising — and how to control them.

Last updated: June 2026.

1. Who we are

ClickSpeedr ("we", "us", "the site") provides free, browser-based click speed and reflex tools (CPS tests, spacebar counter, Kohi/jitter/butterfly click tests, scroll, mouse, typing and reaction-time tests). This policy explains what information is collected when you use the site and how it is used.

2. Information we collect

We do not require an account and we do not ask you for personal information such as your name or email to use the tools. The data involved falls into three categories:

3. Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device. We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies (including localStorage) for the following purposes:

When you first visit, a consent banner lets you Accept or Decline non-essential cookies. Your choice is stored locally so the banner does not reappear on every page.

4. Google AdSense and third-party advertising

This site is supported by advertising, including Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

For more on how Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps, see Google's policy.

5. Your choices and rights

EU / UK visitors (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability. Because we store your scores only in your own browser, you can exercise erasure directly by clearing your site data. For advertising data held by third parties, use the opt-out links in section 4. You may also withdraw cookie consent at any time by clearing this site's data, which makes the consent banner reappear. You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California visitors (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. The use of advertising cookies that share identifiers with ad partners may be considered a "sale"/"share" under California law; you can opt out using the links in section 4 or by declining cookies in the consent banner.

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no industry-wide standard for responding to it, so we treat your consent-banner choice and the third-party opt-out tools above as your controls.

6. Data retention and security

Locally stored scores and consent remain in your browser until you clear them. We do not maintain a database of user accounts. We rely on reputable hosting and advertising partners that maintain their own security practices.

7. Children's privacy

This site is a general-audience website and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will address it.

8. Third-party links

Our pages may link to external sites (e.g. opt-out pages). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; please review their own policies.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
